The Reverend Doctor Richard Bowen Fite has been at Grace Presbyterian Church since 1985. A native of Memphis, TN, he graduated from Covenant College (Lookout Mountain, GA) with a BA in English in 1968. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Covenant Seminary in St. Louis, MO, in 1974. At the time he was serving as Youth Director/Assistant Pastor at the Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church, and upon ordination in 1975 was called to be an Associate Pastor there.
In March of 1985, he became the Senior Pastor of Grace. He has been an active member of the Rocky Mountain Presbytery and a past Chairman of the Board for Evangelical Christian Academy, a Christian school supported by and using the facilities of both Grace and Village Seven Pres. In May of 2006, Pastor Fite received his honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from New Geneva Theological Seminary in Colorado Springs where he is on the faculty teaching homiletics.
Rick has been married to Shayne (Stroop), also a graduate of Covenant College, since 1969; and they have two grown children--Bowen and Amanda.
